Dr. Moran Bodas
Israel
As a researcher, his interest and main focus revolve around the topics of disaster psychology, public health, disaster management, and emergency medicine. He is keen on deciphering the psychosocial determinants of preparedness behavior and developing newer and more refined behavioral models that could explain why disaster risk communication falls short of achieving its goal of promoting public readiness for emergencies.
Professional experience
He serves as a researcher at the Department of Emergency & Disaster Management at Tel-Aviv University. In addition, he serves as a faculty member at the Ph.D. Program in Global Health, Humanitarian Aid, and Disaster Medicine, and the European Master in Disaster Medicine, both at Università del Piemonte Orientale, Italy.
He is the former director of the Israel National Center for Trauma & Emergency Medicine Research at the Gertner Institute of Epidemiology and Health Policy Research. Formerly, the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of PrevenTech ltd, a CBRN Defense company based in Israel.
