Dr. Michal Linder Zarankin
Research work

Michal holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Virginia Tech with a specialization in Disaster Management and Policy. At Tel Aviv University, she develops and oversees joint academic projects and initiatives, including those focused on climate resilience. Additionally, Michal serves as a lecturer in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Disaster Management Program. She has also taught courses at the School of Public Health at Ben-Gurion University and at the School for Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech. Her area of interest revolves around exploring how communities can effectively adapt to environmental challenges, crises and disasters and devising strategies to enhance resilience at both local and global levels. Recently, she has been involved in examining the role of higher education institutions in addressing global challenges, including geopolitical conflicts and climate change.
