I had the privilege of being involved in two fascinating studies conducted in Georgia during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian-Russian War in frames of collaboration with ResWell. These studies aimed to see what predictors related to resilience were relevant to the Georgian context in times of crises. Through our collaborative research, we found both contrasts and similarities between countries when it comes to predictors of resilience.
In our studies, Georgian colleagues (Manana Gabashvili, and Jemal Sukhashvili) and I were focused on understanding the unique challenges faced by individuals in Georgia during the pandemic and war in Ukraine. We discovered that resilience factors were influenced by different factors specific to the region, which based on the studies conducted by our International team was not always true for other countries. This provided valuable insights into building resilience in different contexts. ResWell representatives further analysed data from multiple countries to identify common patterns and differences in resilience predictors. We found that while some factors were universal, there were notable variations that shed light on the impact of local contexts on resilience.
These findings have significant real-world implications for individuals and organizations navigating challenging times. At ResWell, we are committed to finding solutions for real-world problems and making a tangible impact. Our innovative approaches and international collaboration enable us to uncover game-changing insights that can transform lives.
